Technical Project Manager

Job Description: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Technical Project Manager to lead and manage our software development projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical and project management skills, be well-versed in Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum, and have a solid understanding of software development processes. This role requires a balance of managing project timelines, budgets, and deliverables while facilitating Agile processes to ensure efficient team collaboration and continuous improvement. Responsibilities: Technical Project Management: • Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with technical leads. • Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and milestones. • Allocate resources and manage project budgets, considering technical constraints and dependencies. • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies. • Communicate project status to stakeholders, including progress reports and presentations. • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget while meeting technical quality standards. • Implement and maintain JIRA cross-organization(s) and automation. Scrum Master Responsibilities: • Facilitate daily Scrum meetings, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. • Ensure the development team is practicing the core Agile principles of collaboration, prioritization, team accountability, and visibility. • Assist the product owner with backlog grooming and prioritization, considering technical feasibility and effort. • Remove impediments and shield the team from external distractions. • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and team empowerment. • Ensure team adherence to Scrum practices and methodologies. Technical Leadership and Team Management: • Lead, coach, and mentor cross-functional teams in Agile principles and technical best practices. • Promote a collaborative team environment that fosters creativity, innovation. • Facilitate conflict resolution and promote a positive team dynamic. • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members. Stakeholder Management: • Work closely with product owners, stakeholders, and senior management to understand business requirements and priorities. • Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure alignment with project goals. • Facilitate effective communication between stakeholders and the development team, translating technical requirements and constraints. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or similar Agile certification, and Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus. • Proven experience as a Technical Project Manager and Scrum Master in a software development environment. • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum, and technical project management practices. • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities, particularly technical challenges. • Proficient in project management and Agile tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello, Microsoft Project). Technical Skills: • Effective time management and organizational skills. • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. • Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities. • Excellent facilitation and conflict resolution skills. • Proactive and self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership. Experience: • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, with a focus on technical projects. • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Scrum Master. • Experience in leading cross-functional and distributed technical teams. • Proven track record of successfully delivering complex software projects. • Strong technical background and experience in software development is a plus
