JOB DESCRIPTION – IT SYSTEM MANAGER • Manages hardware and software installations and upgrades. • Maintains information systems by planning, monitoring, and coordinating employees. • Develops private intranet and public internet sites. • Creates reports, programs, BAMs, and BPMs as well as add-on applications to perform small features on ERP-system. • Offers coaching, leadership, and training to manage staff performance. • Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, and training employees. • Assesses information systems results by auditing their application and results. • Participates in planning and designing technologies to meet the growing needs of the business. • Safeguards assets by planning and implementing disaster recovery and back-up procedures and information security and control structures. • Maintains safe and healthy working environment by ensuring that information systems staff complies with organizational policies. • Providing L1, and L2 support for Internal applications. • Work on ITIL concepts like (Incident management, Change management and Problem management). • Incident management and problem management, join Bridge lines, provide timely updates, troubleshooting production issues, vendor engagement. • Handling application related user tickets as well as system generated auto alarm tickets for infrastructure issues such as node down, services down, disk space issues. • Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all services, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs. • Dynatrace alerts and Splunk alerts for Disk space, memory utilization and errors log monitoring for our internal applications. • Demonstrable platform support experience on Unix/Linux and Windows platforms. • Executing SQL Scripts for making any data correction and for generating critical/auditing reports based upon the User requirements. (DML commands, Sub Queries, all kind of Joins, Views and Stored Procedures were used). • Linux Administration, System performance, User management, disk space management, Scheduling Jobs & coordinating with DBA in production environment. • Managing system security, disk space, user profile creation and user rights management. • User and group Management & Administration on Linux Servers. • Creating and maintaining support documentation & checklist and knowledge base repository. • Package upgrades and Refresh/Replicate of client domains. • Experienced in working with multiple OS like WINDOWS 2000/2003/2008R2/2012 and Red hat Linux 5.0 • Handling Failed to contact Node down issues at server Level. • Handling Disk spaces utilizations, Memory, CPU, Proc, and deleting log files in servers. • User and group management, Creating and managing user account, groups, and access levels on Linux. • Experience on VMware VCentre server and VSphere client to reboot the servers when server down in Linux or Windows platform. • Installing License, Agents and Certifications in Windows and Linux servers’ platforms.
