Automation and Control Systems: Operate and troubleshoot Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Distributed Control Systems (DCS), and other automated systems that control copper manufacturing processes. Collaborate with automation engineers to integrate new technology solutions into existing systems, including robotics and smart sensors. Technology Innovation and Implementation: Identify new technologies and best practices that can be applied to the copper manufacturing process, such as advanced robotics, machine learning, and smart manufacturing techniques. Participate in the testing and implementation of cutting-edge technologies to improve productivity, reduce costs, and increase safety. Stay updated on industry advancements and recommend technology investments that align with the company's goals. Data Analysis and Reporting: Collect and analyze data from manufacturing equipment, using software tools to evaluate performance, detect anomalies, and propose process enhancements. Create reports on key performance indicators (KPIs), such as machine efficiency, production output, downtime, and material waste. Safety and Compliance: Ensure that all machinery and technology are compliant with local and international safety standards, conducting risk assessments and maintaining safety protocols. Implement and adhere to safety procedures for working with high-temperature machinery, electrical systems, and automation tools. Participate in regular safety training and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement in safety practices. Collaboration with Cross-functional Teams: Work closely with engineers, production supervisors, and IT specialists to integrate technological improvements with existing manufacturing operations. Support production teams in optimizing machine settings and ensuring the smooth operation of equipment. Provide technical guidance to operators and assist in training staff on new technologies and processes. Project Management and Continuous Improvement: Lead or participate in projects aimed at modernizing or upgrading manufacturing systems, ensuring timely and successful completion of projects within budget. Apply Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies to reduce process variation and waste. Documentation and Technical Support: Maintain accurate documentation of all maintenance activities, technology implementations, and system modifications. Provide technical support to resolve issues quickly and ensure minimal disruption to production processes.
