Key Responsibilities and Duties: 1. Technical Expertise: • Possess a strong background in engineering or a related technical field to understand NSW's products, services, and technologies. • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement. 2. Business Acumen: • Understand NSW's business model, objectives, and market dynamics to identify areas for growth and development. • Collaborate with the business development team to align technical capabilities with market needs and customer requirements. 3. Strategic Planning: • Contribute to the development of strategic plans for business development initiatives, aligning technical capabilities with organizational goals. • Provide insights into how technology can be strategically leveraged to drive business growth. 4. Market Analysis & Opportunity Identification: • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify potential areas for business expansion and growth. • Evaluate the feasibility of new products or services, considering technical requirements, market demand, and financial implications. • Assess the competitive landscape and advise on strategic positioning based on technical strengths, analyze technical aspects of the market and assess the feasibility of introducing new products, features or services. 5. Feasibility Studies & Risk Assessment: • Conduct deep feasibility studies for new projects or businesses, considering technical, financial, and operational aspects. • Assess the technical viability and potential challenges associated with new business initiatives, evaluate potential technical risks and propose risk mitigation strategies to lead business decisions. 6. Cost Estimation and Budgeting: • Assist in costs analysis and provide cost of investment estimation that associated with new projects or business opportunities. • Work with financial stakeholders to develop budgets for engineering-related and resources investment aspects of business development. 7. Cross-functional Collaboration: • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, business & product development, and finance, to ensure seamless alignment between technical capabilities and business objectives. • Collaborate with product development engineers and other relevant stakeholders to translate technical features into value propositions for marketing promotional purposes and value-selling material to support sales activities. 8. Customer Engagement: • Engage with business development stakeholders and customers to understand market’s needs, challenges, and feedback related to NSW's products or services. 9. Technical Proposal & Presentation: • Collaborate with the business development team to develop technically sound and strategically aligned proposals for potential clients and projects. • Provide detailed technical documentation and specifications to support business proposals or introduction, ensure that technical solutions proposed align with the overall strategic direction of the NSW. • Develop and deliver impactful technical introduction material to potential clients, business partners, or stakeholders to support business proposals or presentation. • Lead the strategic release of whitepapers while conducting engaging conference talks, seminars, or webinars to optimize outreach to target audiences and enhance conversion rates that aligned with NSW business objectives. 10. Product & Service Enhancement: • Collaborate with the product development team to enhance existing products or design new ones based on market feedback and needs, provide technical input to improve product features, functionality, and performance. 11. Partnership & Alliances: • Identify and evaluate potential technical partners, collaborators, or suppliers. • Assess technical compatibility and synergies with potential partners to drive strategic alliances. 12. Regulatory Compliance: • Stay informed about industry regulations and standards relevant to NSW's products or services. • Ensure that business development initiatives align with regulatory requirements. 13. Content Management & Promotion: • Translate complex technical concepts into clear and understandable content for diverse audiences, collaborate with content creators to ensure the smooth integration of marketing content across various channels for promotion. • Optimize content delivery through different platforms to enhance user engagement, assist in the execution of marketing strategies, including email marketing, social media, online advertising campaigns, tradeshows, conferences or other strategic events to drive marketing conversion growth. 13. Performance Monitoring: • Implement tracking mechanisms such as key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and provide regular performance reports to monitor the effectiveness of marketing campaigns. • Actively identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance overall performance. 14. Training and Documentation: • Involve in developing, collaborating and implementing comprehensive training programs, creating technical documentation, and facilitating effective knowledge transfer within NSW stakeholders to drive strategic initiatives. 15. Continuous Learning: • Stay updated on emerging technologies, industry best practices, and competitive trends. • Provide insights into how technological advancements can impact the business. Qualification and Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Marketing, Communications, Information Technology, or a related field. • Advanced degrees (Master's or equivalent) or higher education in business administration (MBA) with a focus on technology management or a related discipline are often advantageous. • Proficient in both written and spoken Mandarin to communicate effectively with Mandarin-speaking clients and partners. • Proven experience in roles such as engineering, product management, or business development is often required. • High familiarity with industrial equipment or relevant technologies, including mechanical & hardware engineering, software development, IT infrastructure, or other relevant technical areas. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess market trends, identify opportunities, and develop data-driven strategies. • Excellent communication skills to effectively convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, as well as to collaborate with cross-functional teams. This includes proficiency in creating presentations, reports, and proposals. • Critical thinking and analytical capabilities to diagnose problems and implement effective solutions. • Ability to convey technical information clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences. • Strong interpersonal skills for effective customer interaction. • Ability to develop and conduct training sessions for clients to enhance their understanding of products.
