The valve repair supervisor is expected to manage the repair of all types of gas fuel valves, liquid fuel control valves. The repair supervisor shall perform repair Woodward, Meggitt and Young & Franklin hydraulically & electrically actuated fuel control valves: teardown, evaluate, determine parts needed for repair, accurately estimate effort to repair, clean parts, replace components as needed, reassemble, paint, calibrate accurately, test assembled product package, and ship. In addition, there is a need to complete all the associated paperwork including tracking time and providing information for billing. Appropriate evaluation needs to be made to assure that the correct repair versus replace evaluation can be made effectively and clearly communicated to either inside sales or the customer. There will also be a need to cross train on other shop responsibilities either related to valve assembly or panel builds so that you can aid in those areas, when necessary. Required Skills - Hands on assessment, troubleshooting, testing, maintenance, and repair work. - Experience and knowledge in valve operational testing by use of test bench equipment. - Good understanding of hydraulic and electrical controls. - Extensive knowledge of the use of precision measuring and torqueing devices. - Good knowledge of valve packing procedures and methods. - Good Knowledge of valve sealing surfaces machining and lapping. - Good knowledge of the suitability of various threads, flanges, and equipment working pressures. - Ability and knowledge to reference appropriate valve manuals for repair requirements. - Extensive knowledge of valve assembly, testing, and final inspection. - Able to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics. - Ability to create and follow all QA / QC procedures. - Able to complete relative documentations and forms in English language. - Ability to enforce all safety procedures in the workplace. - Must be organized, detail-oriented and demonstrate effective time management skills. - Ability to manage and follow up repair service kits, machinery and tools usage. - Strong emphasis on maintaining a clean and organized work area. ADDITIONAL DESIRED SKILLS - Operational experience in the oil and gas industry with respect to valve operations. - Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and diagnose systemic problems. - Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook to generate service reports and communicate within the company including skills to navigate web-based service literature and programs.
