Mechanical Specialist

To assist the Mechanical Engineer by providing guidance and in-depth training to both direct and indirect reports. This position is essential during key operations such as FCE rebuilds, major plant shutdowns, and project site installations, with a strong emphasis on detailed planning and risk management. Serves as a technical expert in the area of system administration for complex operating systems Maintain a high level of safety throughout the execution of all normal routine maintenance, furnace rebuilds and mechanical plant projects including contractor management relating to safety requirements. Planning, active participation and successful completion of all mechanical aspects of plant related maintenance projects and furnace rebuild projects. To maintain, increase availability and enhance the performance of the plant and equipment through world class maintenance practices implementation. Actively mentor and coach mechanical team members during plant projects and re-builds on industry standards pertaining to best practice maintenance methodology.
