i) To assist Safety and Health Officer to inspect the place of work to determine whether any machinery, plant, equipment, substance, appliance or process or any description of manual labour used in the place of work is of such nature liable to cause bodily injury to any person on daily basis and report to PIC for improvement action. ii) To ensure Company’s Policies, Working Procedures, Working Instructions, Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Management System and other related instructions which required by the Management are implemented effectively. iii) To assist Safety and Health Officer to inspect workers induction sticker, daily working permit and CIDB green card validity before the worker entering to the worksite. iv) To assist Safety and Health Officer to carry out daily safety toolbox meeting before the workers start their work at site. v) To join and assist Safety and Health Officer / EHS Manager during Safety Walk-about, Site Safety Inspection / Safety Audit at work site. vi) To assist Safety and Health Officer to implement internal permit to work (PTW) system and to inspect and ensure all work activities are carried out in accordance to the Project Safety Plan (PSP) requirements. vii) To assist Safety and Health Officer / EHS Manager to investigate any accident, near miss incident, dangerous occurrence, occupational poisoning or disease, which has happened in the place of work. viii) To participate and assist Environmental, Health and Safety Committee in any inspection of the place of work for checking the effectiveness and efficiency of any measures taken before the Monthly Safety and Health Meeting being carried out. ix) To assist Safety and Health Officer / EHS Manager in promoting the Occupational Safety and Health Campaign when required. x) To assist Safety and Health Officer / EHS Manager to collect and maintain safety statistics such as accident, dangerous occurrence, occupational poisoning and disease which have occurred at the place of work. xi) To assist Safety and Health Officer to implement and review the Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment and Risk Control (HIRARC) before the commencement of work at site. xii) To assist Safety and Health Officer to implement the Project Safety Plan (PSP) and the legal and other requirements at site. xiii) Responsible for the maintaining and updating of safety records within the EHS Department. xiv) To assist any Officer from the client’s EHS Department and / or Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH) in carrying out his duty at the workplace. xv) To perform any other job duties when required by the EHS Manager or the Management.
