Maintenance Technician

• Under direction of Maintenance Supervisor or other appropriate administrative staff responsible for the general maintenance and/or minor repairs to dkC buildings and grounds and to do related tasks as required. • Sees that the building has adequate heating, lighting and ventilation and that it is properly cleaned and in good working condition. • Makes minor repairs and inspections of equipment. • Does general repairs such as painting, plumbing, patching walls, hanging shelves and landscaping. • Coordinates or inspects, operates and maintains the oven. • Supervises general maintenance contractors to ensure quality services. • To perform maintenance activities to enhance maintenance efficiency. • To carry out quality maintenance that lead to defect-free equipments processes. • Communicate effectively with other maintenance personnel at all levels by keeping co-workers and leadership apprised of work progress and difficulties as they arise. • Operates machinery and equipment's. • Complete job assignments in a timely manner. • Participate in shop and facility Continuous Improvement activities and initiatives. • Perform shop audits as scheduled. Perform area cleaning and maintenance as posted or required. • Demonstrate awareness and understanding of the Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) policy and management system, the importance of conforming to EHS policies and procedures and consequences of failing to comply with EHS policies and procedures. • Demonstrate knowledge of EHS risks and impacts of work activities and the benefits of improving EHS performance. • Arranges desks, files and other office equipment's.
