Position Summary: The Head of Golf and Technical Development is responsible for overseeing all aspects of golf operations and technical development within the resort. Technical Development: Research and introduce new technologies and practices to enhance golf course management, including irrigation systems, turf management, and sustainability initiatives. Stay current with industry trends and innovations, integrating them into the resort’s golf operations. Staff Training and Development: Lead and mentor golf operations staff and maintenance personnel, providing training on best practices, customer service, and technical skills. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development among team members. Player Development Programs: Design and implement player development programs to enhance skills and attract new golfers, including clinics, workshops, and events. Collaborate with the pro shop and teaching professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to player development. Budgeting and Financial Management: Develop and manage the golf department budget, ensuring fiscal responsibility and profitability. Analyze financial performance and implement strategies to optimize revenue from green fees, memberships, and events. Community Engagement and Marketing: Represent the resort at local and regional golf events, promoting the golf course and its facilities. Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional strategies that enhance the resort’s visibility and attract new members and guests. Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations related to golf operations and course maintenance. Develop and implement emergency response plans and training for staff. Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor and evaluate the performance of golf operations, providing regular reports to management on course conditions, customer satisfaction, and financial performance.
