Store Controller (Kuching)

Responsibilities: Inventory Management - Maintain a comprehensive inventory database of all materials, equipment, and supplies. - Regularly update inventory records to reflect accurate stock levels. - Conduct routine stock counts to identify discrepancies and take corrective actions. Procurement - Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure timely purchase of materials as per project requirements. - Negotiate with suppliers for favorable terms and prices. - Monitor delivery schedules to prevent delays in construction projects. Quality Control - Ensure that all materials received meet quality standards and specifications. - Report any substandard or damaged materials to the relevant department for resolution. Documentation - Maintain detailed and organized records of all inventory transactions, including receipts, issues, and returns. - Prepare regular reports on inventory levels, usage, and trends for management review. Coordination - Work closely with project managers and site supervisors to understand material needs and timelines. - Coordinate the distribution of materials to various project sites efficiently. Safety Compliance - Ensure that all materials handling and storage procedures comply with safety regulations. - Implement safety measures to prevent accidents or damage to materials. Cost Control - Assist in tracking and controlling inventory costs. - Identify opportunities to reduce costs while maintaining quality standards. Requirements: - Candidates must possess at least an SPM/Certificate or Diploma. - At least 2 years of related working experience is required for this position. - Strong organization and documentation skills. - Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). - Responsible, pleasant, and independent personality.
