About the Role

As an Associate Director, International Banking, you are responsible for managing a portfolio of existing and new Malaysian customers for the broad ANZ network. You will support the Chief Representative and Director of International Banking with any relationship that has Malaysian origin. Working closely with the Chief Representative, a key part of the role will be to build the country franchise and review the clients’ selection for the country (covering both Corporate & FI clients in Malaysia).

What will your day look like?

As an Associate Director, International Banking, you will be responsible for;

Supporting the growth of the portfolio through identifying and securing new business opportunities, conducting financial analysis, and propose credit strategy recommendations for customer groups, under the countries throw market strategy.
Contributing to the achievement of growth targets and at the same time, work with analysts to provide credit-worthy analytics to support Credit Risk approvals for the country will be important, as well as efficiently and effectively assessing and managing credit risk across the portfolio.
Identify and satisfy customer needs by exceeding expectations, rapidly grow the business through new customer acquisitions and increase our share of wallet of existing customers, while managing the associated credit and operational risk
Collaborating with a strong network of colleagues across multiple geographies and countries.
Working cohesively and maintaining a connected approach with team members across ANZ's footprint.
Balancing strategic country views with individual booking points to achieve overall goals and objectives.
Influencing and inspiring colleagues across the network to drive collective success.
Being a part of a high-performing team dedicated to excellence with a strong focus on delivering exceptional customer experience
What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

Extensive experience in relationship management and demonstrated ability to originate new business and customers in the market

Strong knowledge of financial statement and credit assessment skills incorporation (background of sound business lending)

Ability to put together high-quality account strategy and credit papers for consideration

Knowledge of various range of banking industry products and services and ability to collaborate strongly across a large organization to introduce specialists as required (i.e. Product Specialist where appropriate etc.)

Proven analytical, negotiation and problem solving skills with excellent customer focus

Tertiary qualification in business related field
