Job Summary:
The Warehouse Assistant will be responsible for managing and organizing the storage, inventory, and dispatch of spare parts and accessories for heavy machinery equipment. This role ensures the smooth operation of the warehouse, including the efficient handling, storage, and shipping of goods, while maintaining a high level of accuracy and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inventory Management:
- Maintain accurate records of inventory levels and conduct regular stock checks.
- Receive, inspect, and document incoming shipments of spare parts and accessories.
- Monitor stock levels and initiate reorders when necessary.
- Manage the storage of products to optimize space and ensure easy accessibility.
- Order Fulfillment:
- Process and prepare orders for dispatch, ensuring that the correct items and quantities are picked and packed.
- Coordinate with the logistics team for timely and accurate shipment of orders.
- Handle returns and exchanges of spare parts and accessories in accordance with company policies.
- Warehouse Operations:
- Operate warehouse machinery and equipment, such as forklifts, for the movement and storage of goods.
- Ensure that the warehouse is kept clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations.
- Perform regular maintenance checks on warehouse equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Data Entry & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Prepare and submit regular reports on inventory levels, order fulfillment, and warehouse activities.
- Assist in the development and implementation of warehouse policies and procedures.
- Safety & Compliance:
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and report any hazards or incidents to the Warehouse Manager.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and quality standards.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Additional certification in warehouse management, logistics, or a related field is a plus.
- Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in warehouse operations, preferably in the spare parts or heavy machinery industry.
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory software.
- Skills:
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to operate warehouse machinery (forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.).
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (MS Office, Inventory Management Software).
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in inventory management.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and move heavy items (up to [specific weight, e.g., 50 lbs]).
- Ability to stand, walk, and move around the warehouse for extended periods.
Additional Requirements:
Valid forklift operator’s license
Job Types: Full-time, Fresh graduate
Pay: RM2,800.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
