Assistant Finance Manager / Finance Manager Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Assistant Finance Manager / Finance Manager to lead our financial operations at Pictureworks. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the finance department achieves its goals, including maintaining a positive working environment for the finance team, providing top-notch financial reporting, and adhering to related timelines. Additionally, the Finance Manager will oversee the duties of team members and ensure compliance with accounting standards and practices.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Perform financial management duties including preparation of monthly trial balance, balance sheet, income statement and periodic reconciliation of accounts
  • Preparation of journals and supporting financial analyses
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with tax and financial reporting standards and assist with cash flow forecasting
  • Preform transaction processing (sales billings, vendor invoices, receipts and payments)
  • Supervise the development of the company’s finance team
  • Create strategic business plans based on the analysis of the company’s status and financial forecasts
  • Support manager to achieve Finance and Accounting Division’s objectives and targets and ultimately the Group’s goals

Qualifications

  • Candidate must possess at least a Degree or equivalent certificate in accounting
  • Have at least 5 years of working experience handling full set of accounts
  • Have at least 3 years of similar experience of leading the finance team
  • Have working knowledge on use of Microsoft Office applications
  • Have working knowledge on use of accounting software. Candidate with experience in using MYOB will have an advantage
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
