Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Operations Manager to oversee and drive the operations for our Bangladesh region. This role will ensure the smooth execution of our business activities, including machinery sales, rental, repair services, technical support, and after-sales service. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing local operations, providing leadership to the team, and maintaining strong customer relationships to enhance service delivery. Key Responsibilities: Operations Management: Oversee daily operations of machinery sales, rental, repair services, and maintenance activities in Bangladesh. Ensure timely and efficient execution of on-site training, technical support, and back-up machinery services for customers. Coordinate with the Malaysian headquarters to ensure alignment with company objectives and regional requirements. Develop and implement efficient processes and standard operating procedures for local operations. Sales & Business Development: Work closely with the sales team to identify growth opportunities and expand the customer base in Bangladesh. Provide leadership in driving machinery sales and rental agreements, meeting regional revenue targets. Collaborate with marketing teams to promote the company’s machinery, services, and training programs. Technical Support & Customer Service: Manage customer relationships, ensuring high satisfaction levels through effective after-sales support and quick resolution of issues. Oversee the provision of technical support to contractors, operators, and other clients. Ensure the availability of backup machinery to ensure smooth project operations for customers. Training & Education: Coordinate and lead machinery demonstration sessions, educating contractors and operators on the proper use, safety protocols, and maintenance of machinery. Provide ongoing education and updates on new technologies and advancements in machinery to the local market. Team Leadership & Staff Development: Manage and develop a high-performing operations team in Bangladesh. Provide mentorship and leadership to local staff, ensuring continuous skill development. Oversee recruitment, performance management, and operational training for new employees. Compliance & Reporting: Ensure compliance with local regulations and industry standards related to machinery operation, safety, and maintenance. Report on operational performance, financial targets, and customer satisfaction metrics to senior management. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. Proven experience (5+ years) in operations management, ideally in machinery sales, rental, or service industry. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team. Solid knowledge of machinery, technical support, and after-sales service. Experience in customer service and relationship management. Advanced proficiency in local languages (Bangla is a must; knowledge of English is also required). Familiarity with the local market, including contractors, construction companies, and machinery-related businesses. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills. Willingness to travel within Bangladesh as required. Location: This position will be based in Bangladesh with regular travel across the region to meet operational and customer needs.
