GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIES 1. Advising and mentoring undergraduate students and providing advocacy as appropriate. 2. Maintaining records to monitor student progress, achievement and attendance. 3. Supporting students by participating in the Personal Tutor system. 4. Promoting innovative education technologies as appropriate to support the course content. 5. As appropriate pursuing independent research or research collaborations relevant to the undergraduate medical school. 6. Preparing subject content for e-learning purposes as requested 7. Ensuring course curriculum and materials are kept up-to-date 8. Complying with Malaysian statutory legislation and implementing Perdana University rules and requirements in furtherance of your own and general staff welfare and safety 9. Performing such other related duties as may be requested from time to time. SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES 1. Contributing to the development, facilitation and delivery of the undergraduate medical school teaching programme and allied specialties. 2. Delivering the curriculum in Perdana University and affiliated Teaching Hospitals including lectures, tutorials, practical activities and assessment and allied specialties for undergraduate students at Perdana University. 3. Liaising closely with the Dean and Lead regarding curriculum development, teaching programmes and examinations. 4. Assist the Lead in assessing the suitability for delivery of the curriculum of Teaching Hospitals assigned to Perdana University by the Ministry for Health in Malaysia. 5. Assist the Lead in the appointment of suitable clinical faculty in Perdana University Hospitals to facilitate delivery of the teaching programme. 6. Assist the Lead in developing quality clinical attachments and rotations in Perdana University Teaching Hospitals. 7. Contributing to the examination and assessments of Perdana University, including the grading of examinations, papers and projects. 8. As appropriate, assist the Lead in developing new courses and curricula required meeting ever-changing needs in education within the university and community. 9. Assist the Dean and Lead in implementing postgraduate collaboration between Perdana University and the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. Key Requirements 1. Must possess a medical qualification recognised by Malaysia Medical Council (MMC). 2. Extensive clinical practice in General Practice with excellent standing as a medical practitioner 3. Demonstrate design, development of learning materials and formation of assessment appropriate to learning goals as well as experience with students undertaking clinical placement. 4. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to work collaboratively, develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders (internal and external)
