Job Scope
1. Work Planning & Coordination:
- Collaborate with the hostel department to prioritize work, procure necessary supplies, and evaluate the skills required to complete tasks effectively.
- Ensure that the staff and students follow the rules and regulations of the University pertaining to office and hostels
- To run routine checks on the university and hostels and report any damages to the assets, furniture and fittings.
- To monitor complaints from the management and students from time to time.
- To prepare and update the University and Hostel Maintenance Policy and its relevant SOP on a regular basis.
- Safety and Compliance: Ensuring both the university and hostel meet health and safety regulations, maintaining fire safety protocols, and managing emergency procedures.
2. Maintenance & Repairs:
- To ensure the university and all hostels are maintained in the best of condition with regular maintenance and repairs.
- To conduct regular inspections of the university and hostel according to our rental agreement and related agreements.
- Ensure all maintenance and repair activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and within the scheduled timeframes.
- Responsible for the general cleanliness of the office, hostels and its’ property.
3. Technical Support & Supervision:
- Assist team members in resolving technical issues or addressing advanced problems related to assigned tasks.
- Manage and oversee the maintenance team to ensure smooth operation and task completion.
4. Stock Management:
- Regularly check, monitor and record inventory levels of university and hostel assets, fitting, maintenance items and supplies. Ensure that adequate stock is maintained and in good condition.
5. Budget Control:
- Monitor and control the maintenance budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
- To monitor the monthly utility bills of the university and hostels.
6. Emergency Response:
- Ensure quick and effective responses to emergency maintenance issues and the ability to work under pressure all the time.
7. Repairs & Maintenance Tasks:
- Inspect, Identify and fix electrical problems.
8. Other Duties:
- Perform any additional tasks as directed by management to support overall operations.
- Establish and maintain relevant reports/databases on university/hostel-related activities and incidents
Qualification
a) Candidate must possess at least a Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree
b) Experiences in Facilities and Maintenance Management.
c) Experienced in managing facilities and maintenance in hostel/buildings/accommodation.
d) Experienced in monitoring the overall maintenance operation in the university and hostel.
e) Excellent interpersonal skills.
f) Responsible and dependable.
g) Willing to attend emergencies after office hours.
h) Strong technical skills in electrical and general maintenance.
i) Ability to manage teams and delegate tasks effectively.
j) Budget management experience is preferred.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Contract length: 12-24 months
Pay: RM1,800.00 - RM2,600.00 per month
