Indian Kitchen - Northern & Southern Specialization
We are looking for a skilled Demi Chef with expertise in both Northern and Southern Indian cuisine to join our Indian Kitchen team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing a range of authentic Indian dishes that showcase the diverse flavors and techniques from these regions. Working closely with senior chefs, this role supports smooth kitchen operations and consistently high-quality food presentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation of Northern and Southern Indian Dishes:
- Prepare a variety of traditional Northern Indian dishes (e.g., tandoori, kebabs, biryanis, curries) and Southern Indian specialties (e.g., dosa, roti canai, coconut-based curries).
- Execute recipes with precision and consistency, honoring the authentic flavors and techniques of each regional cuisine.
- Food Quality and Safety Standards:
- Follow strict food safety and hygiene guidelines, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen workspace.
- Ensure ingredient freshness, quality, and adherence to health standards in every dish.
- Inventory and Stock Management:
- Monitor inventory, report shortages, and assist in maintaining an organized stock of Indian spices, herbs, and ingredients.
- Minimize waste and utilize ingredients effectively to support sustainable kitchen practices.
- Menu Development and Innovation:
- Contribute to menu development by bringing ideas for seasonal and regional Indian dishes, with an emphasis on authentic preparation techniques.
- Team Collaboration and Mentorship:
- Work in harmony with other team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations and timely service.
- Support and provide guidance to junior team members as needed, fostering a positive and productive kitchen environment.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in preparing both Northern and Southern Indian cuisine, with a solid understanding of their respective flavor profiles and cooking methods.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Culinary certification or equivalent practical experience in Indian cuisine is a plus.

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
