SKILL & KNOWLEDGE:
Working knowledge of The Workplace Safety and Health Act and related legislation; Knowledge of enforcement procedures; Ability to maintain effective work relationships; Good organizational skills; Good written communication skills; Good supervisory skills.
QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE:
Preferably min diploma, or equivalent; Acceptable technical training in the field of occupational Safety, Health & Environment or related area; Preferably min 1 year working experience in the Safety, Health & Environment field.
OVERALL JOB PURPOSE:
To co-ordinate, support and advise BERSATU businesses on all aspects with regards to Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) and Good Distribution Practice of Medical Devices (GDPMD) and to establish, manage and monitor standards, processes, communications, training and systems to ensure all responsibilities associated within BERSATU Group of Companies are adhered to.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITY STATEMENTS (KEY RESULT AREAS)
PERFORMANCE MEASURES / KPIS
1. To lead the scope of attending to all requirements as stipulated under each certification to ensure compliance, establishment, maintenance and continual improvements of each Management Systems (GDPMD, ISO 14001 & ISO 45001, ISO 9001, Halal) on Corporate Level as well as the Working Level.
At all times
2. Ensure a safe workplace environment at BERSATU without risk to HSE by conducting daily toolbox briefing to relevant departments.
Weekly
3. Ensure that BERSATU HSE policies, procedures, legislation and company policy are adhered to and are regularly reviewed, updated, communicated (training & briefing) to ensure defined standards and best practice are implemented.
At all times
4. Ensure BERSATU meets its statutory obligations in all areas pertaining to HSE and welfare at work, including statutory training and reporting.
At all times
5. Ensure that walkabout & inspections are carried out at premises and the work of personnel to identify issues or non-conformity, fire drills and fire alarms are correctly reported, risk assessments and lone working procedures are managed and employees are aware of their responsibilities.
Weekly
6. Ensures BERSATU is in compliance with environmental regulations and standards related to pollution and waste management by carrying impact assessment on environment. Propose programs recommendation to help BERSATU reduce their environmental impacts such as 3R or energy-efficiency improvements.

7. Ensure that all accidents are documented, investigated and recommended improvements implemented.

8. To be the secretary for the SHC. Manage and devise the agenda for, chair and formulate & distribute minutes for the SHC meetings. Ensure that all agreed action points are completed within deadlines.

9. Co-ordinate the development of HSE policies, systems of work and procedures.

10. Establish a full programme of documented HSE inspections, audits and checks.

11. Establish a structured programme of HSE training throughout BERSATU and ensure full and accurate training records are maintained.

12. Conduct / facilitate risk assessments in organization to identify critical environmental health and safety hazards & aspects and enforce preventative measures.
Monthly
13. To plan, schedule & conduct Internal Audit; and ensure follow through for corrective action & preventive methods or procedures to avoid recurrence of accidents at work.

14. To conduct Road Safety Training
15. Liaise with external HSE parties in the provision of training programmes and Health, Safety & Environment services and keep up to date with all aspects of relevant HSE & welfare at work legislation and communicate relevant changes to the business.

16. Advice and represent BERSATU on GDPMD & HSE matters with any internal and external parties.

17. Responsible to coordinator and in charge of Document Controller for GDPMD, ISO 14001:2015 & ISO 45001:2018 documentation & sustainability.

18. Ensure that all documents are readily identified, maintained, updated, revised and reviewed periodically with obsolete documents being removed promptly and maintain documents control being update electronically or manual.

19. To plan and arrange regular meeting with GDPMD / ISO related team, to monitor progress resolve questions, coordinate changes and to provide support.

20. To be in charge of DOSH (Lift, Air Compressor, Air Receiver & Side Loader)

21. To ensure renewal of Bomba Cert, And Fire Extinguisher Servicing

22. To be in charge of Skid Tank Permit Renewals (KPDNKK)

23. To ensure Fire Inspection conducted by vendor for all Panels, Sprinklers, Hose Reels, Alarm & Heat Detectors

24. Any other reasonable duties which may be required by Management from time to time.
