Assistant Manager - Warehouse & Logistic

• Strategically plan and manage logistics, warehouse and transportation
• Oversee receiving, warehousing, delivery and ensure efficient space utilization
• Liaise and negotiate with suppliers, manufacturers and transport companies
• Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency shipments for department efficiency and cost effectiveness
• Resolve any arising problems or complaints
• Supervise, coach and train all subordinates to achieve company goals or target set
• Produce reports, statistics regularly and annual budget
• Meet cost, productivity, accuracy and timeliness targets
• Manage stock control and reconcile date storage system
• Adhere to all warehousing, handling and shipping legislation requirements
• Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security
• Continuously look for improvements to operations
• Work proactively with various departments to realize efficiencies and manage expectations
• Act as the interim/acting Manager - Warehouse & Logistics when he/she is not available
• Promote the use of the process approach and risk-based thinking

Job Requirement:

• Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in logistics, supply chain management or business administration
• Proven working experience in warehousing, distribution, transport and Supply Chain Management
• Self motivation, able to work under pressure and able to trouble shoot issues
• Demonstrable ability to lead and manage staff
• Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills
• Promote the use of the process approach and risk-based thinking

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM6,000.00 - RM10,000.00 per month
