Job Responsibilities
- Manage and lead the operations of safety & health for Upstream Steel Division.
- Involved in SHE Committee Meeting, Chemical Control Committee, Emergency Crisis Management Team, and Waste Management Team.
- Prepare and Conduct task related safety training.
- Work closely with IMS team as Assistant Management Representative for SHE.
- Prepare and present monthly Safety and Health reports to management based on inspection carried out, improvement plans implemented and KPI status.
- Ensure the organization is in compliance with the relevant acts and regulations, guidelines and standards related to Occupational Safety and Health.
- Closure of all audit findings by the relevant authorities, internal and external auditors.
- Participate and or lead investigations related to all industrial accidents involving personnel, plant equipment, fire and verify the recommended preventive action implemented by the process owner.
- Manage the compliance to legal requirement as per Monitoring & Measurement Matrix (OSH) such as LEV assessment, CHRA, Chemical Exposure Monitoring, Medical Surveillance, Noise Risk Assessment, Audiometric Testing & Identification for Excessive Noise at workplace.
- Conduct periodic review on the implementation of safe work permit system such as Permit to Work (PTW), Lifting Plan Activity, Hot Work Permit, Working at Height, Scaffolding Erection Permit, Confined Space Work Entry Permit & Electrical Work Permit.
- To liaise with DOSH and BOMBA for site visit/ audit / inspection for Upstream Steel Division.
- To oversee the Fire Protection system and perform periodic inspections.
- Liaise with Fire Safety Risk Insurance and well verse in Hot Work management.
- Assist Environmental section for any environmental matters
Job Requirements
- Degree in OSH Management / Environmental / Engineering
- 8 years of working experience in the field of OSHE.
- Certified Safety and Health Officer (Greenbook Holder) by DOSH
- Certified competence person from EiMAS for Certified Professional Scheduled Waste Management (CePSWaM)
- Certified Lead Auditor or Internal Auditor for Integrated Management System ISO9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and AGTES will be an added advantage.
- Well verse on the legislation requirement related to DOSH and BOMBA.
- Team player with good communication and presentation skills.
- Critical thinking skills and able to identify potential safety issues and work on practical solution.

Pay: RM10,000.00 - RM12,000.00 per month

License/Certification:
- Safety and Health Officer (Greenbook Holder) by DOSH (Preferred)
