WHAT'S THE ROLE?

Plant Design Software Expert is responsible for implementing plant design software solutions and services in mainly Energy [e.g. Thermal and Nuclear Power, Oil & Gas On-Shore and Off-Shore Plants, Shipbuilding], Industry [e.g. Vehicle, Machinery, Electronics, Data Centers] or civil and building constructional related projects. Plant Design Software Expert is the key interface to assigned customers in regard to plant design software solutions, supporting business developers and sales team, consolidate requirements in regard to plant design software solutions from clients & communicate them to BU Software. Create project specific modifications of Hilti plant design software plug-ins.

WHAT DOES THE ROLE INVOLVE?

  • Provide input & execute Hilti’s strategy on plant design software solutions
  • Present and provide hands-on / onsite training for selected customers on the implementation of Hilti’s plant
    design software solutions into their design packages
  • Train and demo Hilti applications in plant design software platforms in close collaboration with sales teams
  • Create project specific modifications of Hilti’s plant design software solutions to fit specific customer needs
    (e.g. project specific typical / item library)
  • Serve as the level 2 support for Hilti’s plant design software solutions for assigned markets / customers
  • Help with internal understanding of EPC workflows to target the right audiences when scheduling client visits
  • Develop internal competency of business developers to ensure proper introduction of Hilti’s plant design software solutions for their assigned customers
  • Understand industry requirements to implement the design solution in the early front-end engineering design
    phase of construction projects (e.g. Refineries, Mining Processing Plants, Offshore Platforms, Power Plants,
    etc.); communicate these requirements to the local and global product software management team
  • Handle all testing and QA validation during the development phase to ensure that all regional needs are met
    Develop and manage relationships with relevant stakeholders in selected customers’ engineering
    departments
  • Interact with all relevant internal parties and provide periodic internal progress updates to all stakeholders
    within assigned region and global teams (E&I / BU Software)
  • Manage external modelling subcontractor and support project assigned HILTI engineers / modelers to ensure
    quality and schedule of the deliverables.

WHAT YOU NEED IS:

  • Degree in engineering, minimum 5 years of experience in plant design
  • Project Management understanding
  • Very good user knows how (admin know how preferred) in plant design software (PDMS / E3D and/or SmartPlant3D / S3D), BIM know how (Revit) a is plus
  • Track record of solving engineering problems within plant design
  • Local language + fluent in English, all other languages are a plus
