Data Integration Engineer

About the Role
Are you ready to revolutionize how data drives business decisions? We are looking for a Data Integration Engineer to lead digital transformation initiatives and foster a data-driven culture. In this role, you'll be at the forefront of ensuring smooth data integration across various internal and external systems, driving seamless data flow for analytics, reporting, and operational success.

What You’ll Do
As a core member of our technology team, you will:

• Develop Data Pipelines: Design, build, and maintain data integration pipelines, connecting systems, third-party tools, and customer applications to ensure data consistency and high quality.
• Leverage Low-Code/No-Code Tools: Utilize low-code/no-code platforms to accelerate integration, while using traditional programming for complex requirements.
• Collaborate Across Teams: Work with multiple teams to understand requirements and implement data flows that support key areas like compliance, finance, and customer applications.
• Monitor Performance: Track and optimize data transfer performance to ensure integration efficiency, scalability, and security.
• Handle Incidents Swiftly: Support production pipelines, troubleshoot, and coordinate responses to ensure data availability.
• Manage Real-Time and Batch Processing: Oversee real-time and batch data transfers, partnering with engineering and back-end teams to tackle integration challenges.
• Document and Govern Processes: Develop documentation and standards for data integration, enhancing maintainability and accessibility across the organization.

What We’re Looking For
We’d love to work with you if you:

• Bring 5+ years of hands-on experience in data integration, ETL development, or data engineering.
• Have experience with data integration tools such as Talend, Informatica, Fivetran, RudderStack, Zapier, or similar low-code/no-code platforms.
• Are skilled in real-time data systems and streaming technologies (e.g., Kafka, Pub/Sub).
• Possess a strong understanding of data governance, privacy, and security principles, particularly for regulated environments.
• Are proficient in SQL, API development, and cloud-based data storage solutions (e.g., Google Cloud or AWS).
• Are familiar with scripting languages like Python for data manipulation.
• Have excellent troubleshooting skills, focusing on optimizing data flows for performance and reliability.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong background in cybersecurity and data protection.
• Experience with data pipeline tools such as Luigi.
• Knowledge of container technologies like Docker.
• Experience in the fintech industry is a plus.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM10,000.00 - RM15,000.00 per month
