Role Purpose
- Responsible to facilitate learning and carry out research activities in the IMU. Teach academic subjects to undergraduate and postgraduate students. Teaching methods include lectures, seminars, tutorials, problem solving learning, practical laboratory demonstrations, field work and e-learning. Multimedia technologies are increasingly used.
- Encouraged to pursue own areas of research and develop these in order to contribute to the wider research activities of the department.
- Involved in academic management work as and when required by the Head of Department. This includes coordination work, eg module, semester, etc. May take on a pastoral role to mentor and guide students.
Job Requirements
- Minimum Masters or postgraduate degree in a related field (Business Administration/Healthcare Management/Management). A PhD degree will be preferred.
- Specialist qualification will have added advantage.
- Experience in teaching and learning will be preferred.
- A record of teaching excellence, service, and scholarship commensurate with that of a tenured professor.
