Position Summary
- Manager, Group Safety Investigation Training Maintenance is accountable for performing day-to-day support of the Safety Investigation, across all Business Unit and subsidiaries.
- Accountable to support the Senior Manager Group Safety Investigator and Training (SM GSIT) in the implementation of Safety Management System (SMS) across the organization and executing safety and operational risk management functions.
Key Accountability
- Manager, Group Safety Investigation Training Maintenance is responsible for oversight investigation by MABES or CAMO across Airlines Services and Aviation Services.
- Manager, Group Safety Investigation Training Maintenance shall have direct access to engineering Safety Anchor Person (SAP) on matters concerning the aircraft engineering related investigation.
- Accountable in the effective implementation and maintenance of risk management program through effective incident and accident investigation.
- Implementation of the engineering risk management program, including the effective corrective and preventive action as applicable.
- Conduct safety investigation of accidents, incident and irregularities related to engineering matters as assigned according to the ICAO Annex 13 and company procedures.
- To put in place, timely and effective control measure to mitigate risk associated with engineering operation to an Acceptable Level.
- Complete the closure of safety investigation and effective implementation of corrective action/recommendation related to aircraft engineering and maintenance.
- Communicate and coordinate with appropriate operational manager in addressing the emerging risk related to aircraft technical and maintenance, accurate review, entering risk rating and assignment of occurrence report.
- Monitor safety anchor person activities to ensure accurate review entering each rating and assignment.
- Provide safety investigation information related to aircraft engineering and maintenance issue.
- Any other relevant task assigned by Senior Manager Group Safety and Training.
Qualification & Working Experience
- Safety qualified professionals with a minimum one year of experience, preferably in aviation engineering industry.
- Possesses incident/accident investigator qualification.
- Possesses human factor and/or safety management system qualification.
- 5-7 year of experience, preferably in aviation engineering industry.
Area of Experience
- Must be a License Aircraft Engineer (LAE) in an operational capacity for at least 1 year
- Possess the relevant license from Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia (CAAM) .

- Managerial - Possess strong management and conflict resolution skills and ability to multitask
- Industry knowledge - Expert level of Knowledge for airline business, loyalty and travel services
- Leadership - Possess strong leadership qualities and build a collaborative approach in the overall development of direction and operation function

- Ability to write report and good communication skills
