Position Summary

This position is critical in establishing, administering, managing and implementing an independent Quality Management System within the Ground Operations & Cargo Department. The Assistant Manager Quality Assurance - Ground Operations & Cargo shall be accountable to the Head, Corporate, Safety & Security Oversight (CSSO) and administratively responsible to the Manager, Quality Assurance.

Key Accountability

  • To participate and uphold the safety and security policies and procedures in line with aircraft operations' objectives.
  • Ensure Ground & Cargo Operation, safety, security, training, policy and implementation meet the Regulatory and company standards.
  • Record and analyse any deviations from Regulatory and Company Operations Quality System and ensure corrective action by the relevant departments.
  • Monitor that the conditions and restrictions of the AOC are complied with.
  • Monitor and examine new aviation rules and regulations by Civil Aviation Authorities and make necessary recommendations to Ground & Cargo Operation Department.
  • Ensure continuous development of the Company Quality System in relation to best industry practices.
  • Maintain to QA database for Ground & Cargo Operations Department.
  • Act as Ground & Cargo Operation Risk and Policy Manager in liaison with Risk Policy and advisory services.
  • Evaluate the safety record of the company in order to avoid the development of undesirable trends.

Qualification & Working Experience

  • A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience with a Diploma, or 5 years with a Degree in the related field.
  • 5-7 years of experience

Area of Experience

  • Ground Operations and Cargo Handling or Quality Assurance .

Personality Traits

  • No aviation safety accident for the past 3 years.
  • Well-disciplined employee with no disciplinary record for the past 3 years.
  • Experience in the relevant section.
  • Has good people Management and Leadership skill.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office skills
