Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and disciplined Kitchen Head to lead our kitchen operations across two busy outlets. The ideal candidate will ensure that all daily tasks, hygiene practices, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) are followed consistently and efficiently. They will uphold high standards of cleanliness, food safety, and discipline to maintain the quality and reputation of our restaurants.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Daily Kitchen Operations:
- Supervise the kitchen staff to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and according to SOPs.
- Oversee food preparation, portioning, and presentation to maintain consistency.
- Monitor ingredient quality, storage, and inventory levels to prevent shortages or wastage.
- Maintain a detailed daily task checklist to ensure all kitchen duties are carried out without fail.
2. Discipline & Policy Enforcement:
- Implement and enforce kitchen discipline policies to ensure punctuality, professionalism, and adherence to standards.
- Ensure all team members follow the restaurant’s code of conduct, including personal hygiene, safety, and cleanliness policies.
- Conduct regular performance checks and provide feedback for improvement.
3. Hygiene & Safety:
- Uphold all hygiene and safety regulations according to local health standards and restaurant policies.
- Conduct regular sanitation checks, ensuring all surfaces, equipment, and storage areas are cleaned and maintained properly.
- Ensure correct handling and storage of ingredients to prevent contamination.
4. SOP Adherence:
- Ensure that kitchen workflows strictly follow established SOPs for food preparation, cleaning, and operational tasks.
- Continuously review and update SOPs to improve efficiency and quality control.
- Train new and existing staff on SOPs, ensuring full compliance.
5. Team Leadership & Training:
- Lead and motivate kitchen staff to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
- Provide ongoing training on food handling, equipment use, and kitchen safety.
- Assist in scheduling staff and managing kitchen resources effectively.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Kitchen Head, Sous Chef, or similar role in a high-volume kitchen.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards, hygiene practices, and kitchen discipline.
- Leadership skills with the ability to enforce rules and maintain team accountability.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Detail-oriented, with a focus on consistency and quality.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM6,500.00 per month

Experience:
- Kitchen management: 5 years (Preferred)
