Job Overview:
The Sales Manager opening is specifically for the Heat exchanger department for both the industrial and clean energy markets throughout South East Asia primarily, possibly Taiwan and the Middle East (to be confirmed).
Sales Managers are the direct technical link between customers and the internal groups of the organization responsible for sales and growth of market share throughout Southeast Asia and possibly Taiwan or the Middle East. Daily tasks include managing the local sales team, customer interface and visit planning, managing the monthly and yearly bookings and revenue, process design for customer tailored proposals, product development, proposal formulation, and sales negotiations (both technical and commercial) to ultimately win projects and grow the business. Secondary tasks could include project management and execution.
Responsibilities: - Responsible for year over year bookings growth aligned with the overall company strategy.
- Annually develops a business plan and sales strategy for key accounts that ensure attainment of company sales goals and profitability.
- Monthly forecast reporting within Salesforce CRM and long-term project tracking for the heat exchanger department.
- Assists in the development and implementation of marketing plans as needed.
- Develops relationships across a broad range of disciplines in target accounts to support account development and growth.
- Responsible for presenting new product developments and business strategies to customer base within assigned market.
- Provides timely feedback to senior management regarding performance.
- Provides timely, accurate, competitive pricing on all completed prospect applications submitted for pricing and approval, while striving to maintain maximum profit margin.
- Creates and conducts proposal presentations and RFP responses.
- Controls expenses to meet budget guidelines.
- Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the team.
- Delegates authority and responsibility with accountability and follow-up.
- Sets examples in areas of personal character, commitment, organizational and selling skills, and work habits.
- Maintains contact with all clients in the market area to ensure high levels of client satisfaction.
- Demonstrates ability to interact and cooperate with all company employees.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of heat exchangers, vacuum insulated lines and related equipment and services for LNG, H2, and Industrial Gases applications.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English, Mandarin is a plus)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to collaborate across departments and business units to provide enterprise solutions to customers.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced sales environment with aggressive deadlines and high customer expectations.
- Ability to utilize Salesforce or similar Customer Relationship Management software as well Microsoft Office tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Word.
- Ability to speak English required. Other language skills (Mandarin / Bahasa Malaysia, etc.) and proficiency a plus.
Supervisory Responsibility
- This position oversees several direct reports and is responsible for the enhancement, performance, and success of the sales team.
- BS in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Master’s in business or engineering will be a plus
- 5-7 years of experience in sales management.
- Experience with enterprise solutions and large, complex organizations.
- Extensive experience in all aspects of Supplier Relationship Management.
- Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements.
- Willingness to travel and work in a global team of professionals.
- Proven leadership and ability to drive sales teams
