Job Summary:
This position is accountable/responsible for the following areas/portfolios:
- Leadership / Training, Effective provision of care.
- Plan, lead, audit and implement strategies for Nursing Division to achieve and sustain highest quality of Nursing services and safety standards in order to support organization goals and business plans.
- The Director of Nursing will lead all accreditation in the hospital.
Job Descriptions:
- Leadership / Teaching: Effective leadership and teaching skills to influence nursing practice outcomes by establishing philosophy, long term goals and objectives of the Nursing Division by adopting suitable strategy in order to support the overall vision of Nursing Division.
- Effective Provision of Care: Establish and implement strategies and policies on Nursing care to achieve safe and effective provision of quality care to all patients and families. Manage standards of clinical practice by ensuring all staffs demonstrates excellence in providing holistic care requirement of patient ‘s needs.
- Effective Quality Improvement and Risk Management: Establish and formulate clinical policies and procedures to ensure overall compliance and adherence to accreditation standards and statutory.
- Customer Service: Manage and resolve complaints according to established Complaint Management Process in a timely manner.
- Professional Development: Review and plan department training needs and career development to maintain the required set of knowledge, skills & competencies for current and future needs of the business and Nursing profession.
- Human Resource Management: Organize and maintain the operations with appropriate staffing levels and resources to achieve the targeted Nursing quality and safety standards and staff engagement.
- Basic Budgeting and Financial Reporting: Control and direct department fiscal budgets, expenditures, resource allocation and utilization for optimum performance, productivity and operational efficiency.
- Others: Networking and Relationship Building, Effective Stakeholder Management, Information and Compliance Management.
Education / Qualification:
- Degree and Master in Nursing - Registered with Malaysia Nursing Board
Requirements:
- At least 10 - 15 years of nursing experience with minimum of 5 years experience in managerial role.
- Expertise in Medical/Surgical and General Nursing Clinical Practices.
- In-depth knowledge of hospital procedures and KPI of patient care.
- Possess an understanding & control of all clinical situations.
- Electronic hospital information systems.
- Great knowledge of legal regulations and best practices in healthcare.
