The Plastic Director is responsible for overseeing the entire operation, ensuring efficient P&L management, meeting production schedules within budgeted costs, and maintaining high product quality. Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demands and optimize resource utilization.
This leadership role involves guiding and directing various departments, fostering effective communication with plant and corporate personnel, and contributing to the professional development of key managers. The Plastic Director plays a crucial role in developing and executing the site's manufacturing strategy and integral part of the Manufacturing Leadership Team.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the plastic injection molding facility.
- Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demands and optimize resource utilization.
- Ensure production targets are met while maintaining high standards of product quality.
- Provide effective leadership to a diverse team of production staff, including machine operators, technicians, and support personnel.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and implement training programs as needed.
- Implement and enforce quality control procedures to ensure products meet or exceed customer specifications.
- Ensure the manufacturing facility complies with all relevant environmental, health, and safety standards.
- Collaborate with quality assurance teams to address and resolve product quality issues promptly.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall product quality and operational efficiency.
- Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement and implement lean manufacturing principles.
- Ensure the manufacturing facility complies with all relevant environmental, health, and safety standards.
- Good understanding of P&L/Industry Costing.
- Regularly communicate with senior management, providing updates on production performance, challenges, and improvement initiatives.
- Generate and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess and improve plant performance
Requirements :
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field. Advanced degree is a plus.
- Proven experience in a managerial role within a plastic injection molding manufacturing environment.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in Plastic Manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of plastic injection molding processes, equipment, and materials.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with safety and environmental regulations in manufacturing

Pay: RM20,000.00 - RM30,000.00 per month
