Job Responsibilities:
i) Technology Strategy & Leadership:
- Collaborate with the CAO to align IT strategy with the broader administrative and business objectives.
- Provide strategic recommendations to senior management on technology trends and advancements.
- Lead and mentor the IT team, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
- Ensure the IT strategy supports the company’s overall objectives and business growth.
ii) IT Operations & Infrastructure:
- Oversee daily IT operations, ensuring the smooth functioning of all systems, networks, and infrastructure.
- Manage the implementation and maintenance of IT hardware, software, and networks across the organization.
- Ensure the availability and reliability of IT services to support all business functions.
- Develop and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
iii) Cybersecurity & Compliance:
- Establish and enforce cybersecurity measures to protect the company’s data and IT systems.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, data privacy laws, and internal security policies.
- Keep up to date with cybersecurity threats and trends, proactively addressing vulnerabilities.
- Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to ensure robust cybersecurity.
iv) Project Management:
- Manage IT projects from inception to completion, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
- Coordinate with department heads to understand their IT needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Track progress and manage risks in IT projects, providing regular updates to the CAO and senior leadership.
v) Vendor & Contract Management:
-Oversee relationships with external vendors, ensuring the procurement of high-quality IT services and products.
- Negotiate contracts and manage service level agreements (SLAs) for IT systems, services, and solutions.
- Evaluate vendor performance and ensure that service standards are maintained.
vi) Budget & Resource Management:
- Develop and manage the IT budget in collaboration with the CAO, ensuring cost- effective use of resources.
- Monitor IT spending and look for opportunities to optimize costs without compromising service quality.
- Ensure proper allocation and management of IT resources across the group.
vii) Risk Management & IT Governance:
- Establish IT policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal governance frameworks.
- Regularly review and update IT policies to mitigate risks and improve operational efficiency.
- Report IT risks and performance metrics to the CAO, providing recommendations for improvement.
viii) Collaboration & Stakeholder Management:
- Work closely with the CAO, department heads, and other key stakeholders to ensure IT aligns with administrative and operational needs.
- Provide timely reporting and communication to the CAO and executive leadership on IT initiatives and performance.
- Facilitate training and support to ensure employees across the organization can efficiently use IT systems.
Skills:
- Strategic IT planning and implementation.
- Proficiency in network infrastructure, cloud services, enterprise systems, and
cybersecurity.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Financial management and budgeting expertise for IT functions.
- Knowledge of compliance frameworks and IT governance.
