Cook - Role Description:
Reports to: Outlet Chef
Supervises: Part Time Helpers
Purpose of Post:
To prepare, produce and cook food, to a high-quality standards, according to recipe SOPs. You will assist the kitchen team to ensure smooth daily service operations, through producing items as per mis-en-place schedule , minimising food waste and managing cost control. You will help to maintain a clean, organised and well-managed outlet kitchen. You will provide full support and assistance to the Outlet Chef and Assistant Chef, as and when required.
Essential duties and responsibilities include:
· Cooking fresh-to-order dishes during service, to quality and timing expectations
· Preparing, cooking and plating food to high standards, following company SOPs
· Assisting the team to maintain food quality, minimise food waste and manage cost control
· Ensuring all outlet food mis-en-place preparation, cooking and plating follows SOP requirements and meets company's quality standards and customer expectations
· Washing and cleaning to maintain a clean and tidy kitchen at all times
· Helping to induct and train new cooks
· Opening and Closing the kitchen and preparing for service properly, following company SOP
· Managing and storing stock properly, in accordance with company SOP - including date labelling, organised chiller/freezer compartmentalisation, FIFO compliance and checking for spoilage before service daily
· Keeping a clean, organised and safe kitchen at all times
· Completing other tasks and duties, as necessary by management
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: RM2,600.00 - RM2,900.00 per month
