The Senior Unit Supervisor is responsible for operating of the Waste to Energy (WtE) operations and common areas safely and efficiently, within safety, environmental constraints, and design parameters.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- To operate the Waste-to-Energy console, including process monitoring and parameter adjustments, to achieve production targets while ensuring safety, compliance, and adherence to the appropriate operating procedures and the Head of Shift's instructions.
- To lead in carrying out safe shut down and startup of the units and its related auxiliaries.
- To record and compile DCS operating data for monitoring purpose and take necessary actions if any deviation or abnormalities observe.
- To review and confirm that all plant is pre-start checked before going into operation.
- To confirm the status of equipment under his control and determine possible problems with the operation of the Power Plant. Informing the Head of Shift of these possible problems.
- To initiate alarm investigations and follow-up if necessary.
- To report safety and other defects, and operational difficulties and shortfalls to the Head of Shift.
- To carry out regular testing plant/system changeover as scheduled for the Power Plant, strictly following approved test & changeomply with all company aover procedures.
- To have a key role within the station emergency plan, to provide support to the Emergency Controller.
- To comply with legislative safety and health requirements relevant to their duties and responsibilities.
- Maintain a high safety and quality conscious working environment and ensure compliance with all QHSE and legislative Health & Safety and Environmental requirements.
- Take reasonable care to protect own health and safety as well as that of others in the workplace.
- To promote an effective safety culture by complying with all company and legislative safety & health requirements.
REQUIREMENT
- Diploma or suitable technical qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in the maintenance of Thermal Power Plants.
- Detailed knowledge of engineering practices, function and processes involved in power plant operation and maintenance.
- Second Grade Steam Boiler Driver (Boilerman)

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
