  • Assist Head Chef at all stages from brainstorming, planning to execution based on clients' requirements
  • Ensure effective stock purchase, its receipt and storage
  • Ensure all dishes are prepared according to specification and served at the correct quality, portion size, and temperature.
  • Helps maintain a safe and sanitary kitchen cleaning up spills and other potential hazards immediately
  • Assists with training of newly hired kitchen staff
  • Makes sure adequate numbers of kitchen staff are scheduled to properly handle each event Develops menus based on client specifications and contracts
  • Places orders for recipe ingredients including meats, fresh fruits and produce, herbs, spices and other supplies
  • Supervises junior cooks and other members of the kitchen staff
  • Ensures that all standards of safety are strictly observed
  • Monitors the quality of the banquet meal during the event
  • Evaluates clients' feedback and come up with action plan
  • Looks for ways to save the company's resources while still providing top quality products and services for clients
  • Possesses the ability to handle any menu ranging from breakfast buffets to corporate lunch meetings with sandwiches to formal dinners with multi-course meals that are individually plated Travels to offsite areas in the event a banquet is catered at another location
  • Able to work with the team and follow all company policies and procedures
  • Thoroughly document the results of cook and process yields, meticulously record all testing and pertinent analytical information
  • Conduct product shelf-life, quality testing and trouble shooting
  • Participate in product tastings and trials of new products
  • Monitoring catalogue assortment, researching and developing new programs and processes
  • Participate in food exhibitions to keep yourself updated with current food trends and technologies

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to RM3,000.00 per month

Education:

  • Bachelor's (Preferred)

Experience:

  • professional kitchen: 3 years (Preferred)
  • Outside Catering: 3 years (Preferred)

Willingness to travel:

  • 25% (Preferred)
