Position : International Freight Manager

Working hours : Mon to Fri , 9 am to 6 pm

Location : Senai

Job Scope:

• Overseeing International Shipments: Manage and coordinate the transportation of goods across international borders, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to schedules.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all international shipping activities comply with local and international laws, including customs regulations and trade agreements.
• Vendor Management: Establish and maintain relationships with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and other transportation partners to negotiate rates and services.
• Cost Management: Monitor and control costs associated with international freight operations, ensuring budget adherence and profitability.
• Documentation and Record-Keeping: Oversee the preparation and management of all shipping documentation, including bills of lading, customs declarations, and invoices.
• Problem-Solving: Address and resolve issues related to shipping delays, customs inspections, or damages during transportation.
• Tracking and Reporting: Implement systems for tracking shipments and reporting on freight performance metrics, including delivery times and costs.
• Customer Communication: Liaise with clients to provide updates on shipment status, address inquiries, and resolve any concerns related to international freight.
• Supply Chain Coordination: Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., sales, operations, and warehouse) to ensure a seamless flow of goods and information.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in international freight processes and implement best practices.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified International Freight Forwarder) are a plus.
• Several years of experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or supply chain management, with a focus on international shipping.
• Proven experience in managing freight operations and vendor relationships.
• Strong understanding of international shipping regulations, customs procedures, and trade compliance.
• Familiarity with various shipping methods (air, sea, land) and associated logistics.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM8,000.00 - RM10,000.00 per month
