Description:
Import/Export Operations:
- Coordinate international shipments, including import and export logistics.
- Ensure compliance with customs regulations, trade laws, and international shipping requirements.
- Prepare and manage necessary documentation, such as bills of lading, commercial invoices, and certificates of origin.
- Work closely with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and other logistics partners to ensure smooth transit of goods.
- Track shipments and provide status updates to relevant stakeholders.
Overseas Purchasing:
- Assist to source products and materials from international suppliers based on the company’s needs.
- Manage supplier relationships to ensure consistent quality, on-time delivery, and cost-effectiveness.
- Evaluate and maintain records of vendor performance, product quality, and service levels. • Collaborate with internal departments to align purchasing with inventory, sales forecasts, and production needs.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing with overseas vendors to achieve the best possible terms.
Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure adherence to international trade regulations, including tariffs, duties, and embargoes.
- Mitigate risks related to currency fluctuations, shipping delays, and supplier reliability.
- Stay informed about changes in international trade policies and their impact on business operations.
Cost Optimization:
- Analyze shipping costs and purchasing expenses to identify areas for cost savings.
- Implement strategies to optimize the supply chain, reduce lead times, and minimize delays.
- Monitor market trends and currency exchange rates to make informed purchasing decisions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, International Business, or a related field.
- • At least 2+ years of experience in import/export logistics, procurement, or international trade.
- Strong knowledge of international shipping regulations, customs procedures, and trade compliance.
- Experience with purchasing from overseas suppliers and negotiating contracts. • Excellent communication, organizational, and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in supply chain management software and logistics platforms (SAP, SRM, WMS)
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
