This role involves teaching mathematics to primary-level students, focusing on fostering fundamental math skills and critical thinking in an interactive and supportive classroom environment. Key Responsibilities: Mathematics Instruction: Teach mathematics to primary students, ensuring lessons are engaging, clear, and age-appropriate. Lesson Planning: Develop and implement schemes of work and lesson plans that align with school standards and cater to various student learning abilities. Student Assessment: Regularly assess and evaluate students' progress, identifying individual needs and providing feedback to students, parents, and the Academic Head as required. Classroom Management: Establish a safe, welcoming, and conducive learning environment that encourages student participation and positive learning behaviors. Professional Development: Keep up-to-date with the latest teaching techniques, mathematics pedagogy, and digital tools to enhance teaching practices. Parental Communication: Maintain open communication with parents regarding student progress, upcoming projects, and ways to support learning at home. Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with colleagues in the Primary division, contributing to a positive school culture and assisting with interdisciplinary projects where relevant. English Proficiency: Strong command of English, as this is essential for classroom instruction and communication. Job Requirements: Educational Qualification: Minimum Degree in Education, Mathematics, Teaching, or a related field. Teaching Experience: At least 2 years of teaching experience in primary mathematics. Experience in an international school setting or familiarity with international curricula is a must. Core Competencies: Passionate about education and committed to helping young students develop confidence in mathematics. Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills; computer literate, with the ability to integrate technology into classroom activities effectively. Adaptability and Innovation: Able to modify teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles and create an engaging learning experience.
