Requirement

  • At least a recognized Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying or its equivalent.
  • Self-motivated, initiative, and independent with good interpersonal skills.
  • Good communication and technical reporting skills.
  • Possess good numerical skills and sharp analytical thinking.
  • Minimum 3 - 4 years of working experience in the Construction Industry.
  • Possesses own transport and willing to work outstation.

Responsibilities

  • Implement all policies, activities, procedures, and instructions as relevant and required by the QESH Management System.
  • Provide and demonstrate leadership and commitment to the overall implementation of the QESH Management System in the department.
  • Take accountability for the effectiveness of the QESH Management System in the department.
  • Take responsibility and accountability for the prevention of work-related injury and ill health in own specific area of work/responsibilities.
  • Ensure that the QESH Management System conforms to the ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards in the department.
  • Promote the use of process approach, risk-based thinking, and life cycle perspective in the organization.
  • Promote customer focus and improvement in the department.
  • Comply with clients and applicable legal and other requirements.
  • Determine risks and opportunities plan actions, and ensure they are implemented.
  • Report on the performance of the QESH Management System including QESH performance in the department to the Top Management.
  • Prepare the following for the Project Manager:

1. Materials schedule including wastage monitoring.

2. Interim claims.

3. Variation orders.

4. Site measurements and final accounts

  • Active cost control to achieve the budget. This cost control includes the incorporation of cost information for and active budgetary control of whole construction components.
  • Assess quotations from subcontractors and preparation of sub-contract agreements for comments/approval.
  • Prepare subcontractors' interim certificates and final accounts.
  • Advise Project Manager on contractual matters.
  • Liaise with consultants and clients.
  • Undertake any and all other duties and responsibilities as instructed by the superior
