Job Title: Director – Information Technology

Location: API Group, Sugar Land, Texas

Status: Full-time, Exempt

Reports to: Executive Leadership

Company Overview

API Group is a leading provider of flexible packaging solutions, with a focus on sustainable practices. We manage a range of entities under our umbrella, and our ERP system is central to ensuring the efficiency of our operations across multiple regions and markets.

Position Summary

The Director of Technology will oversee both the ERP and IT departments, ensuring seamless integration and management of the systems that support all entities under API Group, including future integrations such as API Polybag. This global role will manage ERP functions for all entities, including ACCA and Cocovina, as well as IT infrastructure and strategy. The Director of Technology will be responsible for driving technology initiatives, managing system implementations, and aligning the IT and ERP functions to meet business goals.

Key Responsibilities


  • ERP Management: Lead the implementation, management, and optimization of the ERP system across all API Group entities, with future integration plans for API Polybag.
  • Global IT Strategy: Develop and execute the global IT strategy to support company operations, ensuring scalability and security.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and mentor IT and ERP teams, fostering collaboration across departments and global regions.
  • System Integration: Ensure all systems, including ERP and IT infrastructure, are effectively integrated across ACCA, Cocovina, and other global entities.
  • Business Alignment: Work closely with executive leadership to align technology strategies with business objectives, driving efficiency and innovation.
  • Project Management: Oversee the planning, budgeting, and execution of IT and ERP projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to company goals.
  • Security and Compliance: Ensure the security, compliance, and regulatory standards of all IT systems, including data privacy and protection.


Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in IT and ERP management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven experience managing global IT and ERP systems, with a focus on integration and optimization.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams across multiple regions.
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and IT infrastructure management.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing or packaging industry systems is a plus.
  • Ability to manage global projects and travel internationally as needed.


Working Conditions


  • Global travel may be required to meet with international teams and oversee system implementations.
  • Flexibility to work across different time zones to manage international operations.
