Role Responsibilities:
1. Implement and monitor the relevant internal control system, policies and procedures of the various business processes.
2. Establish the system of business plan, annual budget, rolling forecast and variances reporting.
3. Drive and coordinate the preparation of business plan, annual budget, rolling forecast and variances reporting.
4. Measure monthly, quarterly and yearly financial performance against the approved budget and rolling forecast and provide analysis to Management.
5. Establish a performance driven reward system for business units through budgetary control and Key Performance Indicators (“KPIs”).
6. Ensure compliance with all statutory and corporate governance guidelines on Public Listed Companies.
7. Liaison with Company Secretary, Advisors, Share Registrars, bankers, auditors, tax agents, valuers, etc.
8. Post IPO listing exercise: Preparation and compilation of quarterly Board of Directors & Audit Committee meeting papers; annual report; coordinate for annual general meeting; review and verification for contents of Bursa announcement prior to approval.
9. Perform tax planning for business units.
10. Support Management in corporate exercise and ad-hoc assignments.
Job Requirement:
- Bachelor's degree, professional certificates, or equivalent in Accountancy
- Preferably 7-10 years of relevant working experience
- Professional accreditation in Accountancy preferred: ACCA, CIMA, CPA, MICPA, ICAEW MIA Member
- Experience in Group Reporting, Corporate Finance, Audit, and Taxation within a Public Listed Group
- Familiarity with Corporate Governance, Listing requirements, MFRS framework, and Malaysian tax law
- Required written languages: English, Malay
- Required spoken languages: English, Malay (proficiency in Chinese optional)
Key competencies and skills
- Well-versed with MFRS, listing requirements, Companies Act 2016, Malaysia Code of Corporate Governance, Bursa Malaysia Listing Requirements, Securities Commissions Regulations, taxation regulations etc.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office tools, namely Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point, Power Query, and etc.
- Proficient with preparation of management reporting, budget and annual operating plan.
- Proficient with cash flows management.
- Able to work on financial modelling.
- Able to liaise with external stakeholders, e.g. Auditors, Tax agents, Bankers, Company secretaries, solicitors, etc.
