Industrial Operations Assistant Manager

Responsibility and Authority 1. Food Engineering and Project Management: o Define, propose, review and implement the investment plan approved by top management which will involve the engineering and project management, the feasibility studies in a cost-effective way for Mafipro Sdn. Bhd. o Oversee the management team of VIE based in Mafipro Sdn Bhd, which objectives and expectations should be: cost improvement study objectives, productivity and process improvements, and submission of investment report. o Have responsibility for the technical support to the management of Mafipro Sdn Bhd. o To support sister companies' projects if needed. 2. Operation and production: o To review projects and propose solutions to optimize the actual production lines, by improving efficiency and productivity. o To work towards improvement of the production data collection and analysis. o To work on human training improvement of staff at all levels. o Have the responsibility of choosing and following trainees for Mafipro Sdn Bhd in view of continuous improvement. 3. R&D: o To conduct R&D studies on possible incremental or radical innovations to improve our products, such as the design and installation of a new by-product valorization line. o To study and develop possible incremental or radical innovations in food engineering, especially in the view of valorizing production by-products. Competency & Training acquired - At least 3 years of experience in a similar position. - Master’s degree in food science and food engineering, with competency in project management. - Experience in project management, preferably in an industrial setting. - Experience in food science R&D, from lab scale to industrial scaling. - Strong understanding of food international and local regulations. - Outstanding communication skills, in writing and speaking, in English. - French language is an advantage, due to reporting to French management. - Outstanding computer skills, in Excel, Design and Drawing tools. - Strong sense of autonomy and proactivity.
