JOB SCOPE: POLYURETHANE SPECIALIST 1. Supervision and Leadership Manage Moulding Team: Oversee and coordinate the activities of the moulding team, including operators and technicians. Training and Development: Train new employees and provide ongoing training to existing staff to ensure they are up to date with best practices and safety procedures. Performance Monitoring: Monitor team performance, conduct performance reviews, and address any issues or conflicts within the team. 2. Production Oversight Process Monitoring: Oversee the moulding process to ensure it is running efficiently and producing high-quality parts. Quality Control: Implement and enforce quality control procedures to ensure that moulded products meet the required specifications and standards. 3. Equipment and Maintenance Equipment Management: Ensure that moulding machines and equipment are properly maintained and serviced according to the manufacturer’s guidelines. Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve any issues with moulding equipment or processes to minimize downtime and production delays. 4. Process Improvement Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and work with the team to implement changes that enhance efficiency and reduce waste. Troubleshooting and Analysis: Analyse production data and problems to make recommendations for improvements and implement corrective actions. 5. Compliance and Safety Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies. Safety Practices: Promote and enforce safety practices and procedures to maintain a safe working environment and reduce the risk of accidents and injuries. 6. Reporting and Documentation Documentation: Maintain accurate records of production data, machine maintenance, and quality control inspections. Reporting: Prepare and submit regular reports on production performance, quality issues, and other relevant metrics to upper management. 7. Coordination and Communication Cross-Functional Coordination: Coordinate with other departments, such as design, engineering, and quality assurance, to ensure alignment on moulding requirements and resolve any cross-functional issues. Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with team members, management, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and address any concerns. 8. Project Management New Projects: Oversee and manage the moulding aspects of new product introductions or modifications, ensuring that moulding processes are aligned with project requirements and timelines. REQUIREMENTS: 1. Educational Background: A degree or diploma in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field is preferred. 2. Minimum Experience: Minimum of 5 years' hands-on management experience in PU injection manufacturing. 3. Specialised Moulding Knowledge: Experience with PU RRIM injection is an added advantage. 4. Industry Experience: Preferably a background in the automotive industry, with product knowledge of automotive components and the relevant product quality standards. 5. Quality Management Systems (QMS) Experience: Knowledge and experience with QMS, including IATF 16949, which is essential for maintaining high-quality standards in automotive production.
