Job Purpose
Plan, prepare and execute overall lifting schedule and blending optimization activities for the Complex in the most optimized and effective manner in meeting the requirements of customers to maximize refinery profit based on economic assessment of refinery processing margin and seamless operation of the Integrated Complex.
Key Accountabilities
Production Planning & Scheduling
Plan direction for the overall short-, medium- and long-term refinery and cracker complex production for fuel product blending by developing and optimizing overall lifting schedule to minimize demurrage for all loading and unloading activity ensuring the overall complex-wide comprehensive production plans, schedules and profits are optimized while customers’ requirements and business unit targets are fulfilled
Product Blending Management
Prepare existing and/or new technology in scheduling and blending activities (i.e. gasoline blending ratio using Multi Blending Optimizer (MBO) and ASPEN Petroleum Simulation (APS) tools) to achieve optimum ratio of blending and on spec taking into consideration of inventory at all components tank
Product Loading & Discharging Activities
Execute product loading and unloading activities by monitoring the movement and communication of the activities to ensure smooth and seamless operation without any demurrage
Inventory Management
Controlling product inventory to optimum level, considering customer product demand so as to minimize inventory impact to Company, review and approve Bottom Up Stock Target (BUST) for optimize hydrocarbon stocks holding and minimize inventory exposure
Stakeholder’s Management
Implement effective stakeholder management by developing and maintaining good relationship with relevant internal and external parties i.e. Terminal, Offtakers, Surveyor, Shipping Agent and communicate proactively to ensure timely and effective resolution of stakeholder issues while preserving margin for the Company.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s in engineering (preferably in Chemical Engineering or others equivalent).
- At least 3-5 years in Oil & Gas especially in operation, technologist or production planning.
- Minimum 1 year of working experience in the petroleum industry, preferably in the refining sector. Fresh grads are welcome to apply
- Good understanding/experience in process unit, scheduling, economic analysis, and management
- General understanding of the global refinery, cracker and petchem industry
