Job Purpose

• To survey, disassemble, repair, evaluate, support, assemble and test various STATS tools / services and equipment at Onshore, Offshore and Client locations as well as operating various tools in a safe manner while ensuring that a quality product and service is provided to the client at all times.
• Act as a main point of contact for clients while offshore or onshore at client locations.

Main Responsibilities

• To survey, disassemble, repair, evaluate, support, assemble and test various STATS tools / services and equipment at onshore, offshore, customer and STATS locations to standards / procedures set out by STATS Ltd & STATS’s customers / clients
• To travel to onshore / offshore sites both in Malaysia, and Overseas in the support of STATS operational requirements.
• Work to, and maintain a high standard of quality to the STATS products and services.
• To ensure that all defect to material, components or equipment is reported to the Offshore Team Leader.
• Ensure all relevant drawings, procedures and instructions are to the latest revisions, prior to work commencing.
• Pro-active in the proposal and introduction of new assembly and testing techniques to improve productivity or safety.
• To liaise with the Offshore / Onshore Team Leader on any issues arising.
• Be involved in Environmental, Health & Safety issues.
• Aid in the creation of risk assessments as and when required.
• Liaison with the Projects Manager & workshop Team Leader on any material, Client / project issues.
• Help in the Proposal and introduction of new safety equipment
• To maintain material certification and traceability for all material used
• To ensure that all gauge / inspection equipment are correct and current prior to use
• Any other duties required by the Offshore & workshop Team Leader, and/or Workshop supervisor if at STATS workshop
• To support other departments as and when required

Qualifications

• Minimum; Sound mechanical trade with a good all-round understanding of oilfield equipment assembly and pressure testing techniques.
  
  

Experience / Competence / Skills / Knowledge

• Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team working to high standards with Client lead times being the delivery driver.
• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a professional and effective solution to STATS clients and customers.
• To have a flexible approach to working times, as offshore and site working both in Malaysia and International locations, will be on an adhoc basis with varying trip durations.
• Ability to meet and exceed Client expectations.
• At all times to represent the company in a professional and effective manner
• Ideally with a multidiscipline approach in mechanical, fabrication or equipment maintenance.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings / specifications and any other relevant documentation associated with the project.
• Ability to live and work in Malaysia.
