Finance Assistant (Intern/ Temporary Position)

Stonyhurst International School, Penang is looking to appoint a Finance Assistant (Internship/ Temporary) who is able to manage the day-to-day finance and administrative functions as well as general accounting.

• Candidate must possess at least SPM or other relevant experience or currently pursuing a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Finance related courses
• Good English written and verbal communication skills.
• Preferably candidate who can start work immediately.

Job Description

General Accounting & Reporting

• Data Entry: Enter financial data into spreadsheets and accounting software
• Invoice Processing: Assist in processing invoices and payments.
• Assisting with Reports: Help prepare simple financial reports and summaries
• Parents and Supplier Interaction: Handle basic queries from parents and suppliers regarding payments and invoices
• Ensure all accounting records and related documents are properly kept per accounting practice

Administrative Support

• Support Tasks: Provide general support to the finance team, such as filing, photocopying and handling correspondence
• Administrative support to claims, expenditures, reports and other schedules.
• Record keeping : Maintain and organize financial records and documents
• Ensure all accounting records and related documents are properly filed, labelled, kept and available for future references
• Administrative and business operational support as needed
• Other ad hoc duties as assigned
