About the Role:

This role will primarily be responsible for managing and administering all graduate recruitment-related matters and employer branding for the Firm. The successful candidate will be expected to work alongside the Partners to determine the office’s graduate recruitment strategy and employer branding, as well as to contribute to the overall Firm strategy, and liaise with graduates, universities and relevant student bodies to successfully implement the same.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment of pupilage and both legal and business professional student attachment. This end-to-end recruitment includes arranging and attending Careers Fairs, student engagement activities, law school events and Firm’s graduate engagement events;
  • Ongoing development of the graduate recruitment strategy, ensuring it remains aligned with the overall strategy of the Firm;
  • Working closely with Talent Manager to identify and build talent pipeline for the legal professionals;
  • Maintaining and further developing good relationships with universities and student bodies in a number of jurisdictions, including Malaysia, Australia and the United Kingdom;
  • Arranging and overseeing end- to end process of the Firm’s pupilage programme to ensure that all regulatory; requirements are adhered to, and managing the annual admission process for all pupils inclusive managing their performance cycle during their pupilage program.
  • Liaising with the relevant regulatory bodies (including Malaysia Law Society, KL Bar, etc) in relation to regulatory requirements and the end to-end admission process ;
  • Arranging and overseeing end-to end of the Firm’s structured intern programmes;
  • Alongside the wider Talent Management team, developing the Firm’s Employee Value Proposition and improving our market standing at the relevant universities;
  • Key person to plan and organise and manage events for Graduate recruitment, YTC and Recruitment committee;
  • Responding to all queries, both internal and external, in respect of graduate recruitment and employer branding recruitment;
  • Preparing appointment letters and admission documentation as required;
  • Perform other administration duties within the Graduate Recruitment spectrum as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Psychology, Business Administration, Organization Development or its equivalent.
  • At least five years of relevant experience in a legal or related professional services environment
  • High emotional intelligence and strong people skills.
  • Able to handle confidential matters.
  • Excellent English language skills (verbal and written) and the confidence to communicate well
  • Excellent time management and organising skills – able to prioritise and manage time to meet deadlines
  • Possess a positive mindset and able to work in a fast moving work environment.
  • Computer literacy is critical and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is a must.
