Job Description

Perform regular inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on electrical systems and equipment, including transformers, switchboards, motors, generators, and lighting systems.
Diagnose electrical issues and implement solutions to prevent equipment downtime.
Monitor and operate electrical systems, ensuring they function within specified parameters.
Manage and operate electrical distribution boards, switchgear, and other related equipment.
Conduct routine testing of electrical installations and equipment to ensure safety and efficiency.
Respond promptly to electrical emergencies, such as power outages or equipment failures, and perform necessary repairs or adjustments to restore service.
Maintain a log of incidents and actions taken to address them.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment status, and electrical system performance.
Prepare and submit regular reports on electrical system operations, maintenance schedules, and incident reports.

Qualifications:

Possess valid Chargeman certificate at least AO, A1 or higher) issued by the Energy Commission (Suruhanjaya Tenaga)
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in electrical maintenance, preferably in an industrial or commercial setting.
Strong understanding of electrical systems, regulations, and safety standards.
Problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Ability to work in confined spaces, at heights, and in various environmental conditions.
The Chargeman may be required to work in industrial, commercial, or equivalent.
The role may involve working on shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays, depending on the operational needs.
The Chargeman may also be on-call for emergency response.
Candidate must be willing to relocate and able to travel
