As a work preparator you prepare projects in the technical field. You are dealing with about 5 to 6 projects at the same time. You will receive drawings by e-mail, on the basis of which you can determine which materials and labor hours are required, whether work should be outsourced and how transport should be arranged. You enter all this data in Ridder IQ, the ERP system. You carefully check the drawings with a critical eye and you are alert to any errors or ambiguities. Your extensive technical knowledge allows you to determine whether parts can be made as drawn, or whether other operations must be used. If necessary, you can contact a KANON engineer to short-circuit things or have them adjusted. You provide the purchasing department with the correct information regarding the required parts and outsourcing. Based on the information you receive back from the purchasing department, you make a pre-calculation and compare it with the sales price. You then determine whether additional work is required and you discuss this with the project manager. In the meantime you answer many technical questions that come in by email. Job requirements • Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical) or equivalent. • Several years of work experience in a similar position within a technical project-based work environment • Affinity with technology. • You have extensive knowledge of processing techniques such as turning, milling and welding. • Preferably you have experience with a 2D/3D drawing package. • Good communication skills (English). Personal characteristics You are an enthusiastic team player for whom a structured way of working is self-evident. You are used to thinking project-based and you enjoy working on multiple projects at the same time. You see it as a challenge to investigate with a critical and technical view what can be improved. You also enjoy thinking about automation projects. You also have a proactive attitude, a highly developed sense of responsibility and you like to arrange and organize. Coordinating a department is something that suits you well and you are able to divide the work efficiently. In a dynamic environment you keep the overview and you are well able to set priorities. Of course you have well-developed analytical skills and you work accurately. Above all, you are a nice colleague for the team.
