Maintenance Engineer - Kulai (Ref: AV)

Manage a team of technicians on reactive, preventative and predictive maintenance for all of the building and production equipment within the plant. Responsible for the management of the spare parts through the Advanced Plant Maintenance System (APM) to ensure machine downtime is kept to minimum. Raise Purchase Requisitions with suppliers and follow up on a daily basis with them to ensure an on-time delivery whilst also providing a daily status report to the Process Engineering Manager. Develop annual PM schedule for all equipment and ensure all the PM are carry out as per plan and keep the PM status up to date at all time. Provide monthly report to Process Engineering Manager and recovery plan for any delay in PM schedule. Work with the process engineering team to ensure continuous improvement projects are carried out on time and identify areas which will result in cost reductions. Understand the Production team’s needs and ensure they are met with daily meetings. Make monthly downtime and spare part consumption reports. Will be highly resourceful, self-motivated and able to work well on own initiative. Ensure that the department conforms to the ISO9001, ISO14001, IATF16949 and Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) requirements To do benchmarking for continual improvements Any other reasonable duties which may be required by superior. Authority: a. Verify the Engineering documentation as first level Requirements: Possess a diploma/degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Knowledge in carry out effective machine maintenance and spare part control with at least 5 years of working experience Knowledge in equipment maintenance planning, and undertaking scheduled maintenance Experienced in maintaining ultrasonic welding, leak testing and test instrumentation. Pleating and adhesive dispensing equipment will be added advantage. Strong analytical and Problem-solving abilities is a MUST. Ability to manage the maintenance budget and have the ability to justify an overspend if the case may arise. Must be prepared to work outside of office hours from time to time. Knowledge in 6 Sigma, ISO9001:2015, ISO 14000, IATF16949 and OHSAS 18001 will be added advantage. Mature, aggressive, hardworking, self-motivated, with a sense of urgency. Good analytical and problem-solving skills. Able to work independently with strong leadership qualities. Disciplined and dynamic team player with a positive attitude.
