ETL Developer

Main responsibilities include the following:

• Identifying areas for efficiency improvements, process automation, and collaboration within and between departments.
• Analyzing business requirements and developing end-to-end designs, including technical implementations.
• Demonstrating proficiency in the Software Development Life Cycle, including defining development methodologies, requirements gathering, estimating, designing, development, testing, and deploying quality deliverables based on standards.
• Developing and maintaining records of management policies and processes.
• Providing application analysis and data modeling design to collect data for a centralized data warehouse.
• Maintaining, supporting, and enhancing the business intelligence data backend, including data warehouses.
• Extracting data from databases and data warehouses for reporting and to facilitate data sharing across multiple systems.
• Initiating and maintaining processes for automated data.
• Developing and supporting various reporting processes.
• Developing and supporting ETL, data ingestion, and data synchronization processes.
• Identifying, evaluating, and implementing external services and tools to support data validation and cleansing.
• Collaborating with both internal and external clients to understand data content fully.
• Working with end users to ensure data and reports meet business needs through various business analytics reporting tools.
• Designing, gathering, viewing, measuring, and analyzing detailed information.
• Standardizing data collection by developing methods for database design and validation reports.
• Motivated, and independent, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Requirements:

• Education & Experience:
• Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the IT industry.
• Experience in data warehouse, data lake, and business intelligence implementation.

Technical Skills:

ETL (Talend):

• Ability to design and develop ETL jobs.
• Proficiency in writing Java programs.
• Preferred experience includes:
• Installing, configuring, and administering Talend jobs/scripts.
• Creating SCD dimensions using Talend components.
• Familiarity with various Talend components, including Big Data.
• Strong knowledge of TOS architecture and functional architecture.

Power BI:

• Ability to develop, publish, and schedule dashboards and reports per user requirements.
• Proficient in advanced DAX queries in Power BI Desktop.
• Experience in implementing and managing data security on Power BI deliverables.

Scripting Languages: Proficient in SQL, functions, and stored procedures.

Azure SQL DB: Skilled in fine-tuning and optimization.

Value-Added Technical Skills:

• Data Synchronization Tools: Data Export Services, Synapse.
• Microsoft Azure Cloud Platform: Working knowledge of Azure services, including Azure Data Catalog.
• Other Technologies: Knowledge of XML, JSON, REST API, VB, VBA, C#, and .NET programming.
• Data Visualization Tools: Power BI Desktop, Power BI Pro
