About The Role
As a Specialist in the Payroll Section of the Global Business Centre, you will be responsible for processing some of the higher complexity payrolls for any of the countries we look after and dealing with any complex payroll issues that come into the team.
Key responsibilities
Processing all typical payroll activities such as new starters, leavers, statutory payments & deductions,
overtime, annual leave and statutory and occupational payments
Processing payroll change of circumstances (salaries, shift pattern, data changes)
Generate monthly payroll reports to support managers and finance requirements
Answer employee payroll queries via daily monitoring of ServiceNow for incoming requests
Design and run payroll training workshops on a one-to-one or group basis for employees
Ensure procedures are compliant with legal and audit requirements
Check and approve bank and payment files and instructions
Run and distribution of monthly payroll reports
Assist employees with online access to our payroll self-service system or provide hard copy payslips to others
Look to develop current working processes and be proactive in providing alternative workable solutions
Acting as point of escalation for the Payroll Administrators where guidance or the benefit of deeper experience
is required
Providing insightful, intelligent reporting to customers to support and maximise business performance
Fostering a culture of service excellence with your colleagues, role-modelling this and coaching other team members to deliver true best in class services to all
Knowledge of multi-country computerised payroll systems
Able to run multiple complex payrolls and connect with multiple senior stakeholders.
Excellent reporting and analytical skills to work proactively to run reports to check and complete payroll routines and provide payroll insights to the business.
Efficient use of MS office and other key business tools;
PowerPoint for effective presentation of data including graphs and charts.
Word to produce employee letters, confirmation of earnings, overpayment recovery letters etc.
Outlook to apply rules and manage folders, scheduling and diaries, build standardised templates and manage processes
Excel including Fx functions, Pivots, charts, data analysis and presentation into day to day work. - Visio to create and maintain process documentation
Sharepoint to upload shared materials and share and engage with projects and other functions - PowerBI to analyse and report on KPIs and performance
SAP / Concur to process POs, invoices, financial transactions
Kronos / T&A Systems to support sites capture time on and time off and to act as liaison between sites and payroll providers / teams

Qualifications And Skills
- Knowledge of relevant payroll and employment law and local payroll regulations.
- Knowledge of GDPR and data privacy laws.
- Familiar with in-country regulatory bodies, tax and statutory rules and regulations Comfortable ensuring all stakeholders are fully trained on correct data and payroll submission requirements to ensure a 'right first time' way of working.
- Comfortable giving feedback to individuals and small groups where necessary to ensure processes continue to be effective and efficient
- Proactively use problem solving skills to help resolve payroll errors and issues and ensure knowledge is shared with stakeholders and colleagues within the wider payroll section.
- High level of English language proficiency as this is Kerry's most widely spoken language.
- Confidently able to successfully deliver services and have high quality interactions with Business Partners and Customer groups.
- Able to select the most appropriate method of communication to any given situation and tailor approach accordingly to ensure the most receptive audience and the best likelihood of influence and success.
- 2 year experience, Bachelors degree
